In the Regeneration - the man-made messiah

Chapter August 2, 2012

“Yes Max, your imagination, desperate for success as imagination always is, quietly working away behind your back to create its own secret ending. Your imagination, surprising us all, surprising even yourself with its stunning climax.”

He could well be right.

You’ve got to admit… anything’s possible with imagination.

“After all Max, they were your words. They did come from your mouth. And it’s not as though you spoke ancient Hebrew!”

Even with the film as your witness, people could think you just… made them up!

Shard read his mind –

“Max, what you did was helpful, but it’s by no means the last word. The ancient, timeless vision of the Regeneration is far more important in the scheme of things than our little experiment with you.”

“Good,” Max said, relieved to hear it.

“The vision of a moment when the world reaches the point of understanding required to invite God to the planet isn’t your vision Max, or my vision, or the vision of a group of living sadhus. It’s Christ’s vision, mirrored in the Koran. And it’s this vision that will provide the platform for the final question humanity must ask itself.”

Shard’s blue eyes twinkled with challenge.

“And that question Max, is?”
