In the Regeneration - the man-made messiah

Chapter March 29, 2012

“Words from two thousand years ago, delivered by a Great Champion who considered them important enough to die for – words which still today are never heard.”

Shard raised an eyebrow at the camera –

“Words which sit openly in the heart of the Bible.

“At Mathew Chapter 19 Verse 28.

“There for all to see.”

Shard paused again, returning his gaze to the sadhus.

“Jesus had delivered his Sermon on the Mount. In this long and meticulously planned speech he cautiously revealed a few glimpses of his ultimate vision – but was careful to conceal the truth. After all, he wanted to release a record – not cause a riot.

“Only much later did he finally release the words he’d been quietly preparing all his life – words which were by now perfectly formed in his mind – words he knew he would die for.”

Shard paused –

“This message – passed through time – still presents the greatest challenge this planet has ever faced.

“These few words pose, by far, the greatest possible risk to humanity. It’s true…

“But they also promise the greatest imaginable gain.”

Shard smiled – to all his friends out there – in the future sometime…

“Two thousand years ago we were nowhere near sophisticated enough to even consider such a preposterous proposition.

“And now –suddenly – we are.”

He turned to Pierre.

“You have the Bible.

“Please… read to us what Jesus had to say about renunciation.”

Pierre, joining Shard on the dais, spoke out powerfully –

In the Regeneration…

“When the son of man shall return on the throne of his glory…

You also shall be there.

“And everyone that hath forsaken…

“Houses,

“or brethren,

“or sisters,

“or father,

“or mother,

“Or wife,

“or children,

“or lands,

“for my name’s sake,

“Shall receive an hundredfold…”

Pierre paused, allowing everyone a moment to appreciate the full magnitude of the odds on offer.

And shall inherit everlasting life.”

He waited to allow the enormity of this promise to resonate, before finally

adding –

“But many that are first shall be last…

And the last shall be first.”

Shard stepped forward again and spoke directly to the camera –

“It was always inevitable that a strong, fearless generation would eventually hear this call.

“Hear it – and calmly consider it on its merits.”

He raised his arms to the world smiling broadly –

“Please…

“Let the Regeneration begin.”
