“It’s amazing to think,” John said into the contemplative silence, “that Christians and Muslims have been fighting all these years… when in truth they both want the same thing. He’s right you know,” he continued, “about how much trouble religion has caused. And it is surprising to think that a sophisticated society like ours is still totally unresolved on a question as basic as whether or not God actually exists. We haven’t progressed on this at all! I think I’m right in saying that actually proving the existence of God has never even been considered, let alone put to any test. People are simply born into a particular brand of belief and the issue of God rumbles along, generation after generation… with everyone fighting each other… over petty religious differences. It’s pathetic really.”

“Of course he’s right!” the President said emphatically. “It has been a pathetic effort by humanity to resolve these issues. But we all know, it’s… not easy.”

But is it impossible?

That’s the question…

Is it impossible?

“That’s what I like about that film,” John said enthusiastically. “At least the sadhus are making an effort. Of course people will criticize them for being different – and they are different, very different. But if their experiment got off the ground… it could be fantastic.”

“I need a break,” the President said, rubbing his eyes. “I need to process this.”

“Finding it all a bit… hard to imagine, Hunter?”

The President stretched back in his chair.

“Let’s just say… it’d be a difficult gig to organize!”
